A229 Plus deploys cutting-edge Sony’s latest STARVIS 2 technology, supporting upgraded 2K Quad HD recording for front view. It delivers excellent video quality, capturing every detail all day and night.

A229 Plus comes with Sony STARVIS 2 IMX675 image sensor which offers 2.5 times wider dynamic range and higher light sensitivity than the STARVIS tech, bringing much less noise and motion blur during day & night recording.

A229 Plus is outstanding in a wide range of lighting conditions, by virtue of the Sony STARVIS 2 IMX675 sensor. Every captured footage is enhanced with a wider dynamic range to reveal more details in highlights and shadows. The sensor coupled with advanced HDR technology balances extremely bright and dark areas to accurately restore 2K details recorded at night, even captures accurate license details in fast move.

A229 Pro comes with an advanced voice control feature, which allows you to start/stop recording, take photos, and turn on/off WiFi with simple spoken commands in multiple languages (English/Chinese/Russian/Japanese). It can also clearly notifies you of settings changes or memory card errors, keeping you fully focused on the road.

An upgraded 5GHz Wi-Fi connection module is built into A229 Plus to provide much faster Wi-Fi data transfer, ensuring smooth video previewing, downloading and sharing.

The dashcam supports seamless connectivity to your smartphone via a USB2.0 Type-C to Type-C data cable, enabling superfast downloads of photos and videos. Specifically, the download speed is up to 20MB/s on iPhone 15. This direct connection also facilitates effortless firmware updates, ensuring access to the latest features and optimal performance.

Note: Please use a USB2.0 Type-C to Type-C data cable and ensure that your phone supports an output of 5V2A. This data transfer method is compatible with the iPhone 15 series and newer versions of Android smartphones.

A229 Plus features a state-of-the-art Quad-Mode GPS module which supports 4 satellite positioning systems, GPS, BEIDOU, GALILEO, and GLONASS, greatly improving positioning accuracy and stability. It provides detailed location, speed, and time data of the vehicle when playing back the video on VIOFO App or computer.
