VIOFO RE200 2K Rear Camera for A229 Plus and A229 Pro with 6m Cable

2K 1440P HDR Recording: Enhanced Resolution for Rear Coverage

Records high-definition video at 2K (2560x1440) resolution with advanced HDR processing. This technology manages challenging lighting conditions, such as direct headlights or sudden transitions between tunnels and daylight. By balancing extreme brightness and dark shadows, the camera maintains fine detail clarity for documenting incidents. This resolution is ideal for drivers who require readable license plate information from vehicles behind them.

Sony STARVIS 2 IMX675 Sensor: Flagship Low-Light Performance

Equipped with the Sony STARVIS 2 IMX675 5MP sensor, this rear unit matches the performance standards of the A229 Plus front camera. It provides high dynamic range and reduced noise in dark environments like parking garages or unlit highways. Most rear cams are lower quality, but this module ensures consistent video fidelity across the entire vehicle. It is suitable for users prioritizing night-time safety and reliable forensic evidence.

1CH to 2CH Upgrade: No Firmware Changes Required

Transforms a 1CH A229 Plus or A229 Pro system into a full dual-channel setup instantly. The main dash cam unit automatically detects the rear module upon connection through the Type-C interface. No firmware updates or manual configuration steps are needed to enable dual-channel recording. This is the optimal solution for users who originally purchased a front-only system and now need rear-end coverage.

Direct Replacement Accessory: Official A229 Series Hardware

Acts as an official direct replacement for the standard rear camera included with the A229 Plus 2CH and A229 Pro 2CH packages. It uses the same hardware, cable connection, and mounting style as the original factory unit. Whether dealing with a lost camera or a damaged component, this module ensures perfect compatibility with the existing main dash cam unit and power systems.

6m Type-C Cable and Adhesive Mount: Reliable Installation

Includes a 6-meter Type-C cable designed to run cleanly through vehicle headliners to the rear window. The camera secures using a high-strength 3M adhesive sticker that resists vibration and temperature fluctuations. This mounting method provides a secure, low-profile fit against the glass. It is intended for users who prefer a permanent, discreet installation that remains steady during daily driving.
