Choosing a dash cam battery pack
A battery pack runs your dash cam in parking mode without using your car's battery. It's a good fit if you want to power your dash cam independently of the car battery or keep parking mode running longer.
The VIOFO BP100 (7650mAh) provides up to 32 hours of parking surveillance and recharges in as little as 70 minutes while you drive. Add the EP100 expansion battery to extend recording time, scaling capacity up to 22950mAh.
For Thinkware dash cams, the iVolt Mini (4500mAh) keeps parking mode running for up to 20 hours, or 16 hours with a rear camera added. The iVolt Xtra (7500mAh) extends that to up to 37 hours, or 27 hours with a rear camera added.
