Vantrue Voltage Display OBD Cable

Vantrue Voltage Display OBD Cable is a power hardwire kit that provides constant 24/7 power to Type-C dash cams. This cable monitors battery health and protects against vehicle battery drainage through an integrated digital voltage control system.

Universal Type-C Dash Cam Compatibility: Supports Vantrue N-Series and E-Series

This OBD cable features a standard Type-C connector designed for widespread compatibility with Vantrue hardware. It supports models including the N4 Pro, N5, E3, and S2-2CH/3CH series. Users can connect this to any compatible Type-C USB dash cam to ensure a reliable power connection. It is engineered to replace standard cigarette lighter adapters for a cleaner interior installation.

24/7 Parking Surveillance: Continuous Power Supply

The cable connects directly to the vehicle battery to facilitate constant 24/7 power for parked vehicle monitoring. This ensures your dash cam remains operational to record incidents while the engine is off. It functions as an essential accessory for parking surveillance to protect against theft or vandalism. The constant power supply enables the dash cam to trigger recording automatically when motion or impact is detected.

Smart Low Voltage Protection: Battery Drain Prevention

An integrated low voltage protection system monitors the status of the vehicle battery to prevent total discharge. The system automatically cuts power to the dash cam when voltage falls below user-defined thresholds of 11.6V/12V/12.4V for 12V batteries or 23.6V/24V/24.4V for 24V batteries. This mechanism ensures the vehicle maintains enough power to start the ignition after extended periods of parking. It provides a configurable safety buffer for various vehicle types.

LED Digital Display Screen: Real-Time Voltage Monitoring

The device includes an LED digital display screen that provides immediate visual feedback on electrical health. This screen shows the real-time battery voltage alongside the specific cut-off threshold configured by the user. It allows for quick verification that the electrical system is operating within safe parameters. Continuous monitoring of these levels protects both the dash cam equipment and the vehicle electrical system from potential instability.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Vantrue Voltage Display OBD Cable work with all dash cams?

No, it is specifically designed for Type-C USB dash cams including the Vantrue N4 Pro, N5, E3, and S2 series. It is not compatible with older mini-USB or micro-USB power ports.

Will this cable drain my car battery while parked?

No, the cable features a smart low voltage protection system that shuts off power automatically. You can set the threshold to 11.6V, 12V, or 12.4V to ensure the battery retains sufficient charge to start your vehicle.

What is the benefit of the LED digital display screen?

The LED digital display provides real-time voltage tracking of your battery. This allows you to verify that the power levels are healthy and confirms that your cut-off settings are currently active.

Can I use this for 24-hour parking surveillance?

Yes, this cable connects directly to the vehicle battery to provide constant 24/7 power. It is the standard solution for enabling parking mode recording features on compatible Vantrue cameras.
